2nd Annual Charity Bake Sale
September is Hunger Action Month. Wink by Erica, Whisk Bakery, and Crumble & Co. have joined forces for a bake sale to benefit the Houston Food Bank to raise funds and awareness of food insecurity in our community.
Put your sweet tooth to use for a good cause! Stop by for delicious, pretty delights from your favorite local bakers and help us raise funds for the Houston Food Bank!
Facts from the Food Bank:
- Texas (27.4 %) has one of the highest rates of kids who are food insecure, that is, without consistent access to food
- On a given day, 66,000 people in southeast Texas experience the pain of hunger and have no food: 5,000 are children.
- About 47% of the people who receive Houston Food
Bank assistance are children
A gift of $1 provides 3 meals for a hungry child, senior or adult
100% of $ raised from the bake sale goes directly to the Food Bank. Wink by Erica, Whisk Bakery, and Crumble & Co will not be recuperating any costs of goods - we are donating our time and cost of goods sold to raise funds for the cause.
